Iced Tea stripers 6/27

Had the Strohls gang out tonight, plan was to striper fish but seeing how discolored the ocean was and lack of bait we headed back in very early, instead of wasting everyones night.I thought yesterdays algae bloom looked bad but today it definetly looked like iced tea out there. back at it once the water starts to clear

Striper Blues 6/26

Had Greg,Shannon,Amanda, and Morgan out tonight . When Greg called to book the charter all he said was that he wanted his daughter to catch a big striper. We made bait just south of our inlet, and headed north to where we had been catching good the last few trips. Only seeing one good pod of bunker the whole way to the rocks, and the water stained bad from an algea bloom didnt look good. They caught a bunch of blues but only had a few legit bass run offs that didnt come tight.Everyone stayed at the rail fishing hard and making the best of all the bites looking for one in striped pajamas, but only finding demons in blue suits.I cant wait to get them back out again to try and redeam tonight

Another good night of striper fishing 6/25

Had John , Mike and Dan on board for an open boat striper trip.

Made bait and headed north looking for fishable marks on a giant pod of bunker , not finding any hit a bunch of rock piles waiting for the tide to change. Picked up a bunch of blues and 1 striper.Headed back to the big bait schools and found bass crashing bunker for over a half mile.

fished that pod to ourselves for about a half hour till some other boats brought the crowd with them.Moved away from the fleet twice and continued to pick away at the bass.

Mike boating the biggest bass with some help from his dad at 36 pounds

Stormy stripers 6/24

Had Craig, Allie, Bryan, Mike and Rob out last night.Had just a small window where the fog lifted and some wicked thunderstorms coming in. But the stripers wanted to chew and this crew did real well boating a bunch of fish quick. 13 year old Allie stole the show not only boating the first bass, but also the biggest at 32 pounds, and also was the first to land her limit showing the guys how its done.

BIG bass beatdown 6/21

Had Adam , Bill, Mike and Billy out tonight to live line.

Adam told me he had been reading my reports for 2 years and decided it was time to book a trip.

They got a night that dreams are made of.

Lots of bait being balled up by small pilot whales and then big bass exploding on that bait made for a fun night spent mostly alone, when that bite died we moved north outside the fleet and picked away at even more nice bass

Couple more weekend pics

Mike and Brett with some of their catch

6/16

Had Derek , Pete and Matt filled the crew for stripers last night.knew from reports we were going to have to cover alot of ground heading south to make bait, not hitting any until Lavalette and guys crashing that pod looked like a comedy show.moved further south getting on a pod all alone and Pete hooked up on a snagged bunker while I was netting bait.fished that pod awhile with no takers before making a LONG run south hoping to find a better pod of bait to work, only having 3 more half hearted run offs , with nothing coming tight.Alot of miles for just one bass , made the run home on flattening seas just beating a nasty storm as we got back to our inlet

More tough bassing 6/10

Had Brad, Dale , and Shucker out again for another nite of bassing. Headed south to make bait, not finding it till almost to Sea side, had one pod that had some bass on it that we could see occasionaly in the super clear water, but no takers. Made a long run north to miss what had been a decent pick by the hook, without seeing much between the long miles.Dale finally had our only hit of the night but came tight on her and brought the 30 pound bass to the boat, his PB striper. On the ride home saw that the bait is once again pushing north and hope the bite gets back to where it had been just a few short days ago

slow stripers 6/7

One word to describe tonight slow.Had Craig , Bob and Matt from HC parks on tonight made bait quick outside the inlet, and took a long ride south.Craig had one miss then came tight on our only bass tonight a nice 35 pound fish ( released to fight another day).Hit a bunch of lumps looking back north finding nothing but angry bluefish, continued looking way north but the areas that have been full of life for the last few weeks were like a desert.Had hoped to break Bob and Matts striper cherry, will try again next week as it wasnt for lack of effort tonight

More good bassing 6/6

Had Mike Sr , Mike Jr , John and Tom out. Bunker was super thick with a decent body of bass under them.

Boat traffic was ridiculas last night but the bass still wanted to feed , and if you got space in the fleet you could catch some fish.

Mike Jr and John put on a clinic last night , coming tight on most of the fish hitting them.

was nice night on the water and like a lake out there
