Striper bash 4 4-24

Had Brad, Brett and Barry on today for a striper trip,Started off at the clam beds and picked two keepers quick , then got a call there was some fish stacking up to jig down south.Caught a bunch jigging , then it shut down due to boat traffic. so switched over to trolling, which was good because we started a steady pull of nicer bass.went back to the clam beds for the incoming tide to play C/R as the guys had limited early.Nicest bass today were 24 and 21 poundsBrett broke his striper cherry and had the most bass clamming.Dont get between Brad and a trolling rod thats hooked up as he def was getting to the rod QUICK LOL

Striper bash 3

Headed out with my Buddy Capt Rich on his boat this afternoon, for a shake down cruise, with 2 of his friends. Went back to the same area we have been doing well on the bass, not sure what to find after hearing some poor reports today. Well the bass didnt dissappoint us , as they were there spread out over a large area. We jigged bass with constant action for 4 hours, in the rain.

Striper bash 2 4-18

Had John and Rich on board for an open boat striper trip today. ABSOLUTELY some of the best bassin of the decade. Hammered the bass steadily around a fleet of boats, till most of the boats moved out. Then had 3 long drifts with the bass all to ourselves for an hour and a half, couldnt even take pics then as we had 2 -3 on at a time . Just like Thursday there were 10 bass following each hooked one to the boat. Just incredible amounts of fish on the feed. 2 weeks ago I couldnt wait for June and the BIGGUNS to come in NOW im liking April ALOT. Some really nice bass in the mix to really keep the heart pumping. finished the day clamming , catching a bunch of smaller bass, Jigs def catching better fish right now.
ALL BASS RELEASED TO SPAWN AND FIGHT ANOTHER DAY !!!!!

Striper bash 4-15

Had John C. , John H, and Jimmy out for a day of bassin today. headed south till we got some decent marks as gannets were starting to build. had three or four on at a time for the next couple hours. fishing was non stop . Lots of bass chasing the hooked fish to boatside . ALL bass released back to swim another day, bass were on herring hard today. Gannets looked like mini tornados.
COOLEST thing we saw today was a BIG blackfish up on top of the water at the reef, got close to it and it was in a seals mouth. the seal was fighting off gannets with his flippers to keep his catch LOL

STRIPERS 4-11

Matt and I headed out early to check out a few spots for an afternoon charter. Had fish on in a couple minutes , and with in 15 minutes we had already caught our our 2 man limit ( all released) , moved around continuing a slow pic of bass till picking up the charter at noon. Ran Steve and his son back to where we had fished in the AM to find Gannets blasting into the water, quickly picked up a 35 " bass and then it shut right off, Wind came on a honkin and we were only able to pick up one more short bass for the evening

Easter Stripers

Met Capt Joe tonight, and headed out on his boat to see if we could into some better striper fishing. The water is starting to clean up, and was a few degrees warmer tonight than yesterday. We headed into the back bay just before 6 pm, onto a sheet of glass.
We set up in the same area where I had Saturdays charter, hoping to get them going again. It took quite a while for the tide to change , but once it did we were steady into the bass. Catching over a few dozen fish, once the sun started to set, and for the next couple hours. Going through a little over a half bushel of clams, left them biting when we used up all the bait.
You can say we Wacked and stacked em, or hammered them 4 reel, but it was def a fun night of fishing. alot of shorts , with more than enough 28-31 inch keepers to keep it interesting. Fish were def more agressive today than yesterday, and super fun on the light tackle rods we were using.
ALL BASS WERE RELEASED TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY
