BRUTAL COLD BLACKFISHING

was supposed to fish with Capt Kane down in OC Maryland with a few friends Friday.
He had boat issues so we jumped on  the Morning Star with Capt Monty.
He is the real deal in the OC reef building down there, and has actually dropped over 25 K concrete blocks . Dropping another bunch today on the way out.
No heat in the cabin def made for a colder than normal day.
Took over 2 hours to steam out and in today.
First few drops held little that wanted to chew, a few shorts and a single keeper at spot 3.
Putting in OT he got us on a decent bite at the last drop.
a dozen or so blackfish hit the deck there, I had three between 3# and 6#.
and rolled off another.
got back in to find three inches of fresh snow on our trucks.
Made for a long day just pulling back in the driveway a few minutes ago.
Lots of ball busting and laughs def made it a better day on the water than the fishing .

.I put my Stormr gear to the test today. wearing the Stryker  bibs, and swell neoprene jacket.
Was toasty warm, through all the wind rain and snow.
Made fishing very comfortable on what could have been an even tougher day.
