BLUEFISH INVASION
headed out Sat night with the BH712 group looking to get on some bass. Lou and Ryan brought some newbies to the game of salt water fishing, and while the striper bite was nill the bluefish bite and show of them tearing up bunker was as good as it gets/.Bluefish blowing bunker out of the water in 25 foot squares.
Sunday morning had BiG Franks group out once again looking for bass, but seemed the moon brought in even more big bluefish and the guys left with sore arms catching big gator blues, and missed a few bass bites. was tough getting through the bluefish.
Sunday night I had Derek , Pete and their wives out to do some sea bass and then bass. we got anchored up as we could see a HUGE thunderstorm coming in. pulled the hook and pushed through the storm , which went from flat to victory at sea quick . as the storm passed and seas flattened right out they decided to try and continue bassing . and hoped the sun would dry us out. pete broke off a bass , and we moved up to the rocks, looking to either find some bass or play with the blues. had gotten a pretty good slick going, and a few fish caught when another set of storms came through and this one was coming in quick . Ran down the beach through rain that was so heavy it looked like fog. Talk about a lousy day to try and get the girls on fish so they could see why they fish so often. but they def were troopers and are going again next week. so hoping for some better weather and the bass bite to pick up again
